Have a green Party
One of my favorite traditions is to have a green party and make everything green-food, games, decor, outfits. I love St. Patrick’s Day as a way to celebrate fun traditions with my family. Try adding something new to your family celebration. We have had Green parties with extended family, neighbors, and just by ourselves. It is a lot of fun and my kids look forward to it every year!
Eat Green Food
You can add green food coloring to just about anything…milk, cupcakes, pancakes. Get creative! You can also serve things that are already green like; guacamole, green tortilla roll-ups, spinach artichoke dip, green jello, green dressing, green enchiladas, or green ravioli. Look at these cute gold sprayed Oreos, yummy Leprechaun Popcorn, or Shamrock Punch. You can have green plates, cups, napkins, utensils, tablecloth and Shamrock strings for decorations.
Decorate your home
Make it festive! I’ve found some cute Free printables like these. You can get a cheap frame or get cute green decorations. You can get some Dollar Store crafts to make. There are a lot of cute designs. Or try to make a St. Patrick’s Day Wreath. A few green shamrocks go a long way!
Have Fun Activities
We love to create cute holiday designs with Perler beads. Here’s a cute Scavenger Hunt for kids. Here’s a printable Lucky Hedbanz game, Would you Rather Game, Coloring Shamrock page, Printable Lunch box jokes, Duct Tape Shamrocks, Charades, Scattegories, or Shamrock art projects. There are St. Patrick’s Day versions of just about any game you like. You can make treats for teachers or neighbors with these cute printable tags. Or play indoor Beach ball. I’m not a huge fan of Leprechaun Mischief (Kind of like Elf on a Shelf), but little kids love it!
Wear Green Attire
It’s a fan huge fan of dressing up the part…my kids too. It really is fun to get all decked out for the holiday! You can wear Special green nails, green shamrock shirt, green glasses, tatoos, green scarf, Shamrock necklace, Shamrock Tie, Shamrock Socks,DIY Hair accessories…you get the idea! Go green!
Try out some fun new traditions this year! Your family will love it!
